German giants confident of hitting deadline to sign Jobe

GERMAN giants Borussia Dortmund are confident they can complete a deal for Sunderland's Jobe Bellingham before the June 10 transfer deadline, with the 19-year-old potentially set for a role at the Club World Cup later this month.

The Bundesliga side have made the Black Cats midfield star their No 1 transfer target and are ready to meet their £40m asking price.

Jobe is now set to follow in his brother Jude's footsteps by heading to Germany with Dortmund, despite helping Sunderland reach the Premier League last month.

Jobe has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent months, with Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt leading the chase for his signature.

However it now appears Dortmund have won the race, with the youngster heading for Signal Iduna Park.
