Future of four schools will be made this month

A proposal to close Hazlewood Primary School is being considered by North Tyneside Council

AS 2026 dawns so a decision on the future of four schools in North Tyneside draws closer.

Council chiefs are scheduled to reach a final decision over the schools this month.

North Tyneside Council's cabinet is scheduled to convene on January 12 to reach a decision over a number of local schools. This would follow a public consultation, set to close today, on proposals to close Hazlewood Primary School and move it to Greenfields Primary School and to relocate Forest Hall Primary into the Ivy Road Primary School site.
