Double transplant gift for birthday milestone

PATIENT CELEBRATES 30TH - AND A NEW LEASE OF LIFE

FOR years now, Megan Wright, 30, has been struggling with a rare congenital heart problem that has left her struggling day-to-day.

Megan has Eisenmenger syndrome, and has spent years waiting for a transplant.

This summer, she underwent a complex double lung and heart transplant, and she also turned 30 this week at the Freeman Hospital's world-leading transplant unit. With partner Elliot Swift, a plumbing and heating engineer, by her side, she is recovering slowly but surely, though remains under close medical supervision.
