Castle stamp of approval honour

BAMBURGH Castle has been given the stamp of approval by the Royal Mail in a new collection aiming to “showcase the architectural brilliance of castles from across the UK”.
Francis Watson-Armstrong, with local postie, Vince Knox
Bamburgh is one of eight to be included in the main collection, while a further four stamps presented in a miniature sheet celebrates royal castles.
Francis Watson-Armstrong, owner of Bamburgh Castle, said: “We are delighted that Bamburgh Castle has - quite literally - been given the stamp of approval by the Royal Mail.
