Air ambulance launches new raffle to help meet target for its funding

THE Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) responded to nearly 600 incidents over the summer.
The charity's critical care teams responded to 578 incidents between June 21 and September 22 this year.
That included 375 incidents in the North East, 173 in Cumbria, 10 in Scotland, 12 in Yorkshire, five in the Isle of Man and three in Lancashire. Cardiac arrests and road traffic collisions were the most common incidents responded to, followed by falls, medical incidents and assaults.
