A special moment for Mundle
The Chronicle
|December 01, 2025
ROMAINE Mundle delivered an emotional interview on the back of a special comeback win over Bournemouth, marking his Premier League debut with a 3-2 comeback victory over the Cherries.
-
Mundle was introduced in the second half of the game when it was deadlocked at 2-2, with the winger helping secure a winner through Brian Brobbey's late header.
The 22-year-old enjoyed his first topflight minutes and said: “This team is something special. What a way to mark my Premier League debut.
“We speak about that a lot as a team. It's got to be hard for them coming to the Stadium of Light but we've just got to continue that.
“Towards the end of the game, we showed our togetherness. We always stick together and we put our bodies on the line.”
