Plans to convert listed building into apartments

PLANS have been lodged to convert a historic Chester city centre building into apartments.

The proposal is earmarked for an empty Grade II-listed property on Vicars Lane. The building was previously used as offices by a property consultancy firm.

The Grosvenor Estate is behind the proposed scheme which would see the creation of six apartments, five two-bed and one three-bed.

Both full and listed building consent planning applications have been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The design and access statement, put forward on behalf of the applicant, states: “The applicant is proposing to convert an existing redundant office building into six apartments, comprised of a mixture of two bedroom and three bedroom apartments.
