Good response for school in Ofsted report

THERE was good news from Ofsted for a Chester high school.

Main aspects of Queen’s Park High on Queen's Park Road were said to be Good following a two day inspection.

The quality of education, the behaviour and attitudes of the pupils, their personal development, the leadership and management of the school and the sixth form were all said to be Good by a team of four inspectors.

Lead inspector Michael Pennington, His Majesty's Inspector (HMI), said pupils and students show a calm and considerate approach at the school. They have ‘positive relationships’ with staff.

Staff have ‘high expectations’ for what pupils should achieve, said the HMI and in the main they are supported well to realise these aims. Students typically achieve well.
