In a recent development, a declassified US intelligence assessment provided to Congress has revealed staggering losses for Russia in its invasion of Ukraine.

Russia lost 87% of active-duty troops since Ukraine war

According to CNN, quoting a reliable source, Russia has suffered an 87 percent reduction in its total number of active duty ground troops and a two-thirds loss of its pre-invasion tanks.

Before the invasion, Russia reportedly entered the conflict with 360,000 troops, including contract and conscript personnel. Shockingly, the country lost a substantial 315,000 troops on the battlefield. The assessment further disclosed that out of the 3,500 tanks Russia had at the outset, 2,200 have been lost. Similarly, 4,400 out of 13,600 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers have been destroyed, resulting in a 32 percent loss rate.
