Ravneet Kaur makes history as CCI chairperson

In a significant milestone, Ravneet Kaur took charge as the Chairperson of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday, becoming the first woman to hold the position on a full-time basis. This historic appointment marks a turning point in the fair trade regulator’s history.

Ravneet Kaur, a distinguished 1988 Punjab cadre IAS officer, now assumes the responsibility of leading the CCI as its fifth full-time Chairperson since its establishment in 2009. Her appointment was formalized by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, who administered the oath of office to Kaur.
