Print Media Revenue to Grow by 15 per cent

The growth will be driven by higher ad spends by governments and corporates, as well as a decline in newsprint prices.

In FY21, the print media industry was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, with revenue plummeting by 40%. However, the industry has since rebounded, growing by 25% in FY22 and 15% in FY23.

Crisil’s report said that the growth in FY24 will be driven by a number of factors. First, ad spends by governments and corporates are expected to increase. This is due to a number of factors, including the upcoming state and general elections, as well as the continued economic recovery.
