Amidst the flurry of political activities following the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign on World Environment Day.

The initiative aims to encourage tree planting as a tribute to mothers and promote environmental consciousness.
PM Modi kickstarted the campaign by planting a Peepal tree at Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi. He urged everyone to contribute to the betterment of the planet, noting India's significant efforts in increasing forest cover over the past decade. "This is great for our quest towards sustainable development," he remarked.
