In a recent development, India's leading automobile manufacturers has announced a significant increase in the prices of its popular models, including the Swift hatchback and selected variants of the Grand Vitara SUV, with effect from April 10, 2024.

Maruti Suzuki hikes prices of Swift by up to Rs 25,000, Grand Vitara also affected

This marks the second time this year that the company has adjusted its prices, following an earlier hike in January.

According to the company's official statement, the prices of the Swift have been raised by up to Rs 25,000, while the Sigma variant of the Grand Vitara witnesses an increase of Rs 19,000. The decision to implement these price adjustments comes without any specified reason from the company.

Maruti Suzuki, which boasts a dominating 43% market share in India's passenger vehicle segment, has been a consistent frontrunner in the automotive industry. Recent reports indicate a YoY 15% growth in domestic sales for the company, reaching 153,000 units in March 2024, excluding light commercial vehicles.
