Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu commenced a five-day state visit to China on Monday, where he is set to engage in discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping and finalize various agreements to strengthen bilateral ties.
Accompanied by his wife Sajidha Mohamed and a high-level delegation, Muizzu and the First Lady were warmly received by senior Chinese officials upon their arrival. They visited the Xiamen Free Trade Zone in China’s Fujian province, where an introductory video was presented, followed by a tour and inquiries about significant areas in the zone.
