Kharge to Chair Crucial Meet to Discuss Future Action Amid ED Chargesheet Against Sonia, Rahul
The Business Guardian
|April 19, 2025
With the Enforcement Directorate (ED) naming Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in an alleged National Herald money laundering case, the grand old party is all set to hold a crucial meeting on Saturday to discuss the future course of action against the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
The Congress had held nationwide protests at the financial probe agency offices across the country, a day after the ED announced that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have been named as accused number one and two in the alleged money laundering case.
Besides them, the ED has also named Indian Overseas Congress chairman Sam Pitroda, Suman Dubey and two other companies among others in the case. The prosecution complaint, which is equivalent to the chargesheet, was filed on April 9 before the Rouse Avenue Court here.
