Jagruthi to contest 2029 Assembly polls, will not return to BRS: Kavitha

Jagruthi founder and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday made it clear that her organisation will contest the 2029 Telangana Assembly elections, while firmly ruling out any return to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Addressing a press conference as part of the Jagruthi Janam Bata in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Kavitha said Jagruthi's foremost priority is to remain rooted among the people, irrespective of elections.
Recalling her political journey, Kavitha said that even during her tenure as a Member of Parliament, she remained closely connected with the public through the Mana Ooru-Mana MP initiative. She alleged that she was politically defeated due to internal conspiracies within her own party, but continued to work for public causes despite the setbacks. Kavitha stated that she was made an MLC against her wishes, an experience she described as deeply hurtful, and asserted that she would not rejoin the BRS under any circumstances.
