At the Climate Action Summit of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined that India has presented an excellent example of the balance between ecology and economy before the world.

He noted that despite India being home to 17 percent of the world's population, its contribution to global carbon emissions is less than 4 percent.

Sharing his remarks at the opening ceremony of the high-level segment at the Conference of Parties (COP28) Summit, PM Modi said, "Today, India has presented an excellent example of the balance between ecology and economy before the world.
