If we break down the word 'Hindustan', it means 'land of Hindus': Vij

Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Anil Vij, commented on the government's strict measures during the Holi festival and Muslims opposing the Holi in Uttar Pradesh, said that "If we break down the word 'Hindustan,' it means 'the land of Hindus.' Hindus will celebrate their festivals with great enthusiasm, and if any of it spills over to you (Muslim brothers), then you (Muslim brothers) should have the patience and tolerance to endure it because you are living in the land of Hindus."

Vij made this statement in response to media queries regarding the strict actions taken by the government and administration during Holi and the covering of mosques with tarpaulins in Uttar Pradesh.
