Long hours at desks, sedentary habits, and poor posture are now contributing to early back pain and even bone weakness in young and middle-aged working women. What makes it even more concerning is that these issues are no longer limited to older age groups - even women in their late 20s are reporting persistent back and neck pain. If left unchecked, these lifestyle-driven problems can snowball into osteoporosis and long-term spinal complications.

Dr. Abhishek Vaish, an Orthopedic Surgeon and Sports Injury Specialist from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and Healing touch clinic, Okhla, New Delhi, explains, “we are seeing a growing number of women in their 30s and 40s presenting with chronic back pain, early osteopenia, and even osteoporosis. What was once considered a postmenopausal issue is now being seen much earlier, largely because of lifestyle changes.”
