Honasa consumer plans Rs 400cr IPO for expansion

Co-founder and CEO Vathe Honasa Consumer Ltd. IPO-bound company, which owns new age FMCG brands including Mamaearth and The Derma Co., anticipates raising Rs 400 crore from listing and plans to use the money primarily for offline expansion, bringing more brands to market, and acquisitions. In addition to scaling its other brands like The Derma Co, Aqualogica, and Ayuga, which are also performing well and seeing increases in monthly income, Honasa will concentrate on boosting the size of the brand with further distribution growth and awareness of its flagship brand Mamaearth.

Its salon business BBlunt, acquired from Godrej Consumer Products, exclusive brand outlets and overseas expansion to geographies such as the Middle East and newer categories would be the newer engine of growth, he said. Earlier this month markets regulator SEBI approved the proposal of Honasa Consumer's to raise funds through initial public offering (IPO).
