DBS Bank, Govt investor protection body ink MoU to enhance vigil on fraudulent schemes

The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) under the aegis of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and DBS Bank with a strong presence in Asia and Southeast Asia on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) wherein IEPFA will leverage on diverse digital platforms of DBS Bank to disseminate safety messages on investment and fraudulent schemes.

Previously, IEPFA, set up in September 2016 for administering the IEPF regarding refunds of shares, unclaimed dividends, and matured deposits/debentures among other things, has also signed MoUs with the Bank of Baroda and ICICI Bank for similar activities.
