The upcoming All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting, scheduled for Tuesday on the Sabarmati coast in Gujarat, holds significant importance for the party.
This marks the first meeting of the AICC members in 11 years.
The primary agenda of the two-day meeting is to strengthen the organization, but the meeting's key message will be centered on Rahul Gandhi's leadership.
Rahul Gandhi is set to be reaffirmed as the most accepted and powerful leader of the Congress party. The meeting will also seek to clarify that Rahul is not responsible for the party's continuous electoral defeats.
Additionally, his sister, Priyanka Gandhi, will likely be positioned as the second supreme leader in the party, with the possibility of her being given a significant role. Reports suggest she may be tasked with leading a newly formed Election Management Committee within the organization.
Another major focus of the meeting will be strengthening Rahul Gandhi's appeal among the backward classes, which includes discussions on the caste census.
