What's in the deal? The United Kingdom's newly announced €283 million assistance package for Ukraine, signed on July 10, 2025, reflects a multidimensional effort combining military, humanitarian, and infrastructural aid. British officials have confirmed that a significant portion will bolster Ukraine's depleted air defense capabilities, including procurement of anti-drone and surface-to-air missile systems to counter intensifying Russian strikes on civilian and energy infrastructure.

But this isn't just a weapons shipment. Around €80 million is reportedly earmarked for humanitarian assistance, particularly to support internally displaced Ukrainians during the upcoming winter. Reconstruction funds are also included—targeting war-damaged schools, railways, and energy grids, in collaboration with Ukrainian local governments and international partners like the World Bank.
