Adani issue requires parliament discussion: KC Venugopal

As the first winter session of Parliament commences, the opposition MPs moved adjournment motions to raise the issue of Adani's indictment in the United States (US) in connection with a "fraud and bribery" case.

Congress MP KC Venugopal on Monday said that the Adani issue was an important issue that needs to be discussed in the Parliament. Venugopal asserted that the government would have to give time because the US government has taken the case very strongly. Parliament remains the forum to take up such issues, he added.

"Certainly, that (Adani issue) is one of the most important issues which Parliament has to discuss. The government has to give the time because the US government has taken the case very strongly, the incident happened in India... Parliament is the forum to take up these issues," Congress MP Venugopal told.
