MAN MISTAKEN FOR A THIEF SHOT DEAD WHILE PLEADING FOR LIFE

A 31-year-old man was shot and killed by his neighbor in Pasig City, after being mistaken for a thief despite his desperate attempt to explain and plead for his life.
Barangay security footage showed the victim, Nano, approaching the suspect's residence in Barangay Maybunga on Tuesday, May 13, intending to speak with him.
In a TV interview, the victim's live-in partner revealed that the suspect believed Nano was a burglar, claiming he had been seen on their roof carrying a hammer.
However, witnesses contradicted his claim. They stated that Nano was just searching for something outside the suspect’s house and the CCTV footage showed he was not carrying a hammer.
