Several schools in Adilabad neglect fitness checks for buses
Several recognised private school managements in erstwhile Adilabad district are under fire for neglecting to obtain fitness certificates for their buses, thereby compromising the safety of students as schools prepare to reopen on June 12.
According to Regional Transport Authority (RTA) officials, Mancherial district has a fleet of 510 school buses, of which only 192 have valid fitness certificates. Alarmingly, 126 buses have already crossed the 15-year usage limit, and the remaining 192 buses are yet to obtain mandatory fitness clearances.
