NCPCR issues directive to Telangana School Education Dept

- CITY BUREAU

To ensure safety and security of the inmates, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has asked the Telangana School Education department to appoint hostel wardens and school counsellors in all residential schools in the State.

The child rights body's directive follows a representation by one K Ramesh, who stated that several cases of student suicides were being reported from residential schools across Telangana.
