One-to-one rule for swim pool tots is scrapped

A RULING which has led to hundreds of families being turned away from Tamworth's main swimming pool is to be axed after a public outcry.

Families are banned from swimming at Peaks leisure centre if they have more than one young child per adult.

Up to 20 angry and disappointed people a week are being barred because a safety policy dictates that youngsters under five years must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 16 or over "on a one-to-one ratio basis".
