Milnerton combatant impresses in boxing return

Milnerton K1 veteran Wade Hammond continues to prove that he’s one of the most versatile fighters in the game.

Known for his grit and adaptability, Hammond reminded everyone of his well-roundedness once again, this time by stepping out of the K1 arena and into the boxing ring.

The last time we saw him in action, he claimed the PFC belt with a dominant K1 performance against Timothy Steenkamp.

But at Fight Island 2.0, held this past weekend at the scenic Cabo Beach, Hammond traded in his kicks for boxing gloves and laced up for a four-round war in the squared circle.

Facing off against Sifiso Chili, Hammond showed that being back in the ring he was anything but rusty.

Despite not having boxed competitively in nine years, he looked sharp, composed and powerful.
