Reds (probably) win league title

REDHILL were celebrating a league title and promotion on Saturday evening - but in truth, neither will be officially theirs until later this weeka situation Lobsters boss Jordan Clark admitted was "horrendous".
Less than 24 hours before the final round of games in this season's Combined Counties League Premier South, league leaders Jersey Bulls announced that they had fielded an ineligible player.
The player should have been suspended but played in their 4-0 win over Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday, March 29.
Consequently, subject to appeal, Jersey faced being deducted the three points they gained against the Terrors.
Before the announcement, it looked certain that the Channel Islanders, who were level on points with Redhill but had a far superior goal difference, were going to wrap up the title on the final day - all they needed to do was beat Sandhurst Town.
However, the announcement meant that, should Jersey not appeal and overturn the punishment, the Lobsters were now in the driving seat with AFC Whyteleafe ready to pounce, just a point behind, should Redhill not beat Guildford City on Saturday.
