Thorpe rues Cestrians' slump ahead of Ashbrooke encounter

In the Dukes ECB North East Premier League, relegated Sunderland take on Chester-le-Street at Ashbrooke this weekend and Cestrians' lack of recent from has probably cost them the runners-up position.
Sunderland skipper Michael Nunn said: "Renujan Thavanenthiran is unfit, but Habibullah Oryakhill may return to the side, plus there will be a late decision on Travis Gittens."
Cestrians coach Ash Thorpe said: "Our form has let us down towards the end of the season, but we will be trying our best to win the last two games to finish as high as we can."
Ashington are still looking over their shoulders as they are 19 points above the drop zone. They take on champions Burnmoor at Langwell Crescent and visiting club official Alec Linsley said: "This weekend is our last away game of the season. They are fighting for their Premier League status, so it's going to be a really tough game.
