Partnership aims to help students to make it onto the West End stage
Sunderland Echo
|February 10, 2026
From Wearside to the West End - a new partnership is set to boost performance arts opportunities for local students.
An agreement between ArtsEd, who are a leader in performing arts training in the UK, and Arts North Studios - a flagship initiative developed with Culture Quarter and Sunderland College - has been signed at ArtsEd's historic Chiswick home.
The partnership aims to create new pathways for aspiring performers across the North East of England, who attend Arts North Studios at The Fire Station, and bridge the gap between regional talent and world-class vocational training.
It marks a significant commitment from both institutions to foster inclusivity, share pedagogical expertise, and ensure that the next generation of West End and screen talent has access to elite training, regardless of geographical or socioeconomic barriers.
