The big story of the next seven days

Learn to fish – it's time for hot rods to take the bait

Relaxing, meditative, and practical, fishing is an ideal hobby for many. Get out on the water with some bait and a fishing line and catch yourself dinner.

The Angling Trades Association created the initiative to encourage more people to get a taste for fishing. It runs until August 31.

With support from the Angling Trust, Environment Agency and Canal & River Trust among others, National Fishing Month is reaching an ever-growing number of people, encouraging the next generation of anglers to enjoy time by the water.
