Four out of five North East bus services on time

More than four in five bus services in the North East ran on time last year, new figures show.

Figures from the Department for Transport show 82.3% of the region's 139million bus journeys met the timetablebroadly in line with the year before.

Across England, 80% of services ran on time - defined as arriving between one minute early and five minutes 59 seconds late.
