Having grown up in Ga-Kgole near Polokwane in Limpopo, Mamoshibidu Magdeline Seabi became a sustainability champion as she gained indigenous knowledge on conservation and increasingly connected with the land.

Although she completed an engineering qualification at Vaal University of Technology (VUT), she later followed her passion when she graduated in Plant Science from Tompie Seleka College of Agriculture, which gave her a strong foundation in sustainability and the indigenous knowledge system (IKS).
