Bulls to draw on season-defining battles ahead of Leinster URC grand final

WHILE history will be against the Bulls in Friday’s United Rugby Championship (URC) final against Leinster at Croke Park in Dublin, they can draw confidence from several key matches this season in which they fought with their backs against the wall to reach this point.

- LEIGHTON KOOPMAN

The tenure of head coach Johan Ackermann did not begin on the best note, and a few hiccups along the way, including a long losing streak, raised questions about the Bulls’ campaign. However, they have turned things around and produced some brilliant performances to put themselves in this position.

Currently on an eight-game winning run, they can take pride in clashes against Pau in the Champions Cup, where they helped turn their season around, as well as tough away victories over Edinburgh and the Glasgow Warriors in the URC semi-final.
