LEEDS UNITED have been left looking back towards the drop zone after suffering successive Premier League defeats for the first time this season.
A must-win game for the hosts, this was a must-not-lose for Leeds, who have now picked up just one point from three games.
The Clarets took the lead inside 20 minutes when Lesley Ugochukwu headed home a Kyle Walker cross.
Leeds pressed for the leveller in the second half but Loum Tchaouna’s strike ended Daniel Farke's hopes of a win at Turf Moor. While the game's first shot saw Burnley's Florentino Luis shoot wide, it was Leeds who enjoyed most possession, Dominic Calvert-Lewin winning a series of flick-ons.
