Three missed cuts in four Majors and his LIV future in doubt, how does the double US Open champion get back to making this American great again...

- BY NEIL SQUIRES

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU'S 2026 is turning sour with two missed cuts at the Majors and LIV's future in grave doubt.

After following his early exit from the Masters with another failure at the USPGA Championship, the big-hitting American cut a dejected figure leaving Aronimink.

DeChambeau was always going to be up against it after a disastrous opening 76, and ended up missing the cut by three strokes after a second round 71.

He was even beaten by four PGA club professionals.

It cannot be easy for any of the LIV players with the uncertainty over the rebel tour after the announcement that the Saudi money tap will be turned off at the end of the season.

While sympathy will be of the tiny violin variety given the dollars they have pocketed during the good times, the tectonic plates are shifting under their golf shoes. Whether that was a factor in DeChambeau's no-show who can say for sure but stability tends to be a better launchpad than quicksand.
