MOTD host Gabby on benefits of empty nest

- BY KENZI DEVINE

FILLING the free time when children leave home can be a challenge for parents.

But for sports pundit Gabby Logan, twins Lois and Reuben flying the nest has meant putting even more energy into work, and she is going from strength to strength.

Now one of the main presenters of the BBC's Match of the Day, 52-year-old Gabby says: "I've taken things on recently that I wouldn't have done before - I've said yes to more things.

"I wouldn't have worked as much on weekends when they were younger, I did consider that quite a lot with things I was offered.

"Now I've got more flexibility to do what I want to do, so it's strange."

Former rhythmic gymnast Gabby, who represented both Wales and Great Britain, adds: “It's balancing things, seeing positives. You have more time to spend on yourselves.
