'MY HERO MUM DIED SAVING ME FROM MY VICIOUS BOYFRIEND'

A MUM-OF-TWO says she owed her life to her mother who died saving her from her thug partner.

Damian Homer, 50, killed Wendy Francis, in a senseless attack at the home he shared with his girlfriend, Wendy's daughter Stacey Hill in Haresfield Close, Worcester, on March 2, 2024.

Wendy, 61, died at the scene trying to protect her 38-year-old daughter. Stacey suffered serious injuries but survived.

Homer claimed the fatal stabbing was an accident and that he was defending himself, but his lies were exposed by detectives, who found Wendy's heroic actions saved her daughter.

The case features in the latest series of BBC show Murder 24/7, which gave access inside West Mercia Police.
