'MY BABY SCREAMS IN PAIN AND I CAN'T EVEN CUDDLE HIM'

A MUM was unable to hold her baby for seven weeks due to condition that leaves him “screaming” in pain.

Paige Meakin, 23, noticed that her son Harley's skin began to flare up at six weeks old - marking the beginning of a relentless battle with eczema.

Over the weeks, one-year-old Harley’s skin became increasingly red, inflamed and so painful to the touch that he couldn’t bear to be held or picked up.

By just seven weeks old, his skin had already begun to show signs of infection from being scratched to the point of open wounds, and the family found themselves relying on a rotation of steroid creams in an attempt to manage the flareups and ease his discomfort.

The little boy also suffers multiple food allergies - including egg, wheat, oats, and soya - as well as an allergy to the protein in cow’s milk, which left him breaking out in rashes and screaming in distress after every feed.
