Young people urged to check pots

Around one in four kids in the country live in poverty despite a Scottish Government strategy to slash child deprivation rates.

Almost half of Scots still to claim their accounts come from poorer backgrounds and these are worth a total of £73million, according to figures from The Share Foundation. A report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation last week warned the national picture is "largely the same" as it was four years ago and said ministers are failing to hit their targets.
