Conservation group blasts vessel's scuttling

MARITIME conservation groups have slammed the deliberate sinking of a Clyde-built ship off the coast of Hawaii.

Since the 60s, the historic Falls of Clyde, built in 1878, has been stationed as a a museum ship in Honolulu. However, it has since fallen into a state of disrepair.

A decade-long campaign has been demanding the ship returns to its birthplace to rebuild it.
