Mullins’ superstar scorches to victory in the Tingle Creek

IL ETAIT TEMPS timed it to perfection for Willie Mullins in the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown.

The star was an 8/11 jolly to confirm his superiority over Jonbon having routed him in the Celebration over course and distance in April.

Nico De Boinville was keen to prevent a repeat of that loss and set a potent tempo on Nicky Henderson's 3/1 chance.

Paul Townend didn't allow the favourite to get into an early battle and kept him relatively quiet in midfield for most of the two-mile Grade 1.

The rider finally swooped on his old foe three out with L'Eau du Sud (7/2) also making his move at the same obstacle.
