RED HOT ON THE GREEN

Fans turned out in their thousands at Glasgow Green to greet Biffy Clyro, Fontaines DC, The Kooks and Inhaler.

The wall-to-wall sunshine, with temperatures of 29C, led to some fans and artists struggling to cope in the heat. Norwegian Sigrid was even forced to take a break in her main stage set to be sprayed down with water.

Despite the sizzling temperatures, festival goers soaked up the music and atmosphere. Office assistant Hannah May-Philips, 26, from Armadale, enjoyed ice cream in the sun.

Hannah, who travelled with pal Amy Gilland, 23, for Jake Bugg and Sigrid, said: "This is my first time. It's really well put together.

"The ice cream is needed in the hot weather. We'd been thinking about it for a while and because the sun's out, we thought why not, we'll come for the day."

Schoolboy Guy Dudman, 16, from Dunfermline, said: "This is my first festival. It is definitely taps aff weather. I've the sunscreen on and it's amazing"
