Liverpool are set to further honour Jota

LIVERPOOL have confirmed they will pay tribute to tragic star Diogo Jota before their first game of the season - and create a permanent memorial to the Kop favourite and his brother Andre Silva.

Reds forward Jota died in a car crash along with his brother Silva in Spain on July 3, aged 28.

Flowers, scarves and jerseys had been laid around Anfield and tributes were paid to Jota during yesterday's clash with AC Milan in Hong Kong.

They have now been removed and stored and the plan is to recycle them to be used in a sculpture at Anfield in honour of the brothers.
