Is Scots boss Clarke finally out of puff?

Is everyone absolutely certain Steve Clarke is the right man to lead Scotland into the World Cup qualifiers in September?

Or has the manager started to show signs of having run out of puff after five years in charge?

I will freely admit to living in a world of optics and narratives when I come from a time of notebooks and pencils but the passage of time doesn't alter the evidence of the eyes.

The optics at Hampden on Friday during and after the appallingly bad loss to Iceland were condemnatory so far as Clarke was concerned.
