I'm living, running breathing proof asthma doesn't have to limit you
Sunday Mail

A DAD who nearly died after his first asthma attack left him in a coma is running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money to tackle the condition.
Jamie Bell, 40, ended up in intensive care after his heart stopped twice for a total of four minutes during the ordeal five years ago.
But after making a full recovery, the father of two, from Gullane, East Lothian, wants to give back by raising awareness and cash for leading health charity Asthma & Lung UK.
Jamie has had asthma since childhood but never suffered an attack, relying on a blue reliever inhaler whenever he felt wheezy - until July 2021.
He said: "If you'd told me my first ever asthma attack would be life threatening, I wouldn't have believed you.
