Kris plays down Thompson's rammy with Killie fan

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

KILLIE interim boss Kris Doolan defended Dominic Thompson after an ugly confrontation with a home fan.

The Ayrshire club started life after sacking Stuart Kettlewell with another defeat to make it 11 games without a win.

Veteran Falkirk striker Brian Graham netted the only goal of the game to sicken Doolan, his former boss at Partick Thistle.

Thompson seemed to object to something a supporter said after the game when the Killie players were applauding fans, but Doolan claimed the situation was calmed down.

He said: "I think it was just a bit of frustration on both sides and it overspilled. We don't want to see that, but it's come from frustration.

"The club will look into it, but there was nothing said at all and Dominic stressed that.

"Nothing untoward. It was just frustration and you can understand it because everyone wants the best for the club.

"We have to channel it properly and that’s into winning - and I felt we were so close today.

"You'd be worried if people didn't care. When that happens you're past the point of no return.
