Cyber hit forces kids' IT lockdown

SCHOOL students facing crucial exams were locked out of online learning materials after a cyber attack.

All pupils' passwords had to be reset as a precaution after Edinburgh City Council bosses noticed "unusual email activity" on its schools and early years IT network on Friday.

In response, it had to reset all passwords across the network, including those of their students.
